i just read an article in a gun magazine from the 90's where someone put an L-frame barrel on a K-frame. will this work without any special modification (can it just be screwed in like any other barrel) or is there more to it than the article let on.

how do i remove the firing pin assembly? i used a punch and took out the pin that holds it in place..the one under the sight assembly...just trying to figure out the right way...don't want to bugger anything up. will the bushing, spring, and pin all come out or is there a secret to getting all...

can it be shortened by a gunsmith- the same sight reused......trying to make something close to a bloodwork revolver without spending so much.

should be a plentiful market. there are tons of people who hate the locks and would be willing to buy one. just remember all you have to sell is enough to pay for the equipment.

where did you get the barrel for this swap? i've been noticing them alot here lately. can you order from smith and wesson?

i've been thinking of doing the same thing with a 586 since i can't find a 587-7 or maybe just taking a 520 and replacing the nasty titanium cylinder.

anyone know the best way to clean up a frame after bead blasting? i've just finished my first blasting job. it turned out pretty good, but i want to make sure that i get all the grit out before i try to reassemble. was wondering if there was something that i should soak in or somethin.

...and after that, you're options are to leave it or polish or can you do other things like matte or blue?

i have recently used some high grit sand paper and scotch brite pads to clean up a revolver. will bead blasting give me a smoother finish than the paper.
