can anyone help me fig the d.o.b. for 586 with serial AEN4xxx?

Can you provide the dash #? Pop it open and look below the forcing cone...there may not be one if prior to 1986. If so, it will show "586-?"

No, it does not.

I am planning on giving S&W a call sometime in the next week or so with regard to this. I'm not too concerned in the meantime, as I intend to primarily run .38Spl through mine.
