Army's Take on its new M17 Pistol

Having put close to 500 rounds through an M-17, my personal option is that it is no better or worse than a dozen or more striker fired polymer framed pistols on the current market. The quick change modular frame format is the only "novel" change I experienced.

    WHO LIKES CHARTER'S UNDERCOVER?

Bought my first Charter Arms .38 undercover in 1973 when J-frame Smiths were as scarce as hens teeth and commanding scalpers prices if you found on. Loved it and within the year I'd bought a 3" .22 Path Finder and a 3" .44 spl. Bull Dog. My current most used is a 21 oz. 6 shot 9mm Pit Bull...

    What Caliber/Gauge is it?

Here's a photo of the Winchester M-36 single shot bolt action on 9mm RF Flobert along with their commercial ammo. The gun was made from 1920-1927. I've seen asking prices as high as $1,600-$2,400 on line. P.S. Sorry for some unknown reason the gun photo would not upload...

    What Caliber/Gauge is it?

Yep, 9mm rimfired shotshell. They were popular in pre-war France by farmers to shoot pigeons and other pests out of their barns without disturbing the livestock and neighbors too much because of their low muzzle blast. Got a box in an estate sale in the early 1980's.

Vietnam bring back what is it

Ditto: all the ones I've fired always gave better accuracy with the bayonet extended. Go figure. The muzzle blast in so impressive in low light you'll think you're launching slap flares.

Anyone Familiar with this 44 Special?

3 Benjamins is a good deal. They're actually pretty good shooters. The action slicks up with use.
