I havent been here lately~ New job + more

I can just see kids sitting in front of those old radios listening to Gunsmoke, The lone Ranger or Superman. I listen to the old radio shows on XM satellite radio. I'm a truck driver and those old shows sure pass the miles. I wonder what they would sound like on the old radios.

Silliest reason you've bought a gun? I'll go first.....

My uncle gave me a bayonet for an M1. I now have several M1's.

M1 Garand fans, anyone know what "RSC" 1955 means on the barrel?

What do you think of these CAI Garands? I bought two for $400 each at a gunshow some twelve years ago when I was young and dumb. I could not get them to function right and sold them at a loss of about one hundred each. Knowing what I know now, I likely could have got them running as I have...

I had my brother in law weld an aluminum cart for me. I use it at the CMP and High Power matches. I do need to modify it for bigger wheels.

    explanation about recent post.

MG357, Maybe you could research a youth shooting organization to donate them to. Even if they can't be used directly they could be sold to raise funds to keep kids involved in our sport. John

With $2,500 to spend on guns??

If I had $2500 to add to my collection I'd get, A pair of Ruger Vaquero's stainless in 44Mag/44-40 convertible, A Stoeger Coach gun 12Ga., A Colt 1903 pocket pistol in .32 auto, A Marlin .375 winchester. I'll likely end up with these, but it would be easier with a lump sum.

Name the worse & cheapest gun you can

I'm surprised no one mentioned the Liberator 45. General Motors cranked them out for pennies each. And the bore was not rifled. It was said it likely would not hold together long enough to fire more than the five rounds that came with it. Now today the collectors value is quite high, but that...

Went to the lake.....it was depressing

We went to downtown Grand Rapids Michigan and sat in front of the Gerald Ford Presidential Museum, to watch the fireworks. We were about twenty feet from the front door. It was a good show. After it was over we just sat and let the crowds clear and was shocked at the trash. All the trash cans...

Movies/TV a person "needs" to see.

I liked BATTLEGROUND I can watch that one on a 95 degree day and sit on the couch and shiver. As for a TV series COMBAT with Vic Morrow is good.
