The lower will not accept a 556 upper. The buffer tube cant accommodate a spring and something about the bolt catch being longer and going farther up to compensate for the smaller Bolt carrier. Don't quote me though.

I have the standard and definitely would have gotten the MOE if it was available at the time. Good on ya for taking the plunge. You will not be disappointed with this weapon. The MOE is worth it for the combined cost of purchasing the extras individually. Let us know how it works out for you.

If I want to Release tension on the trigger group without dry firing I separate the receivers and apply pressure to the hammer so it does not move forward to rapidly.
