Found this at a dealer's this morning. Advertised as a .22 Combat Masterpiece, SN 2166XX. 4" Barrel, blue finish, checkered walnut grips. Blue finish is close to perfect with one small ding in the walnut grip. Very minor scratch line around the cylinder. If it has been refinished, it is not...

Cleaning up a SS Finish GF! I tried to PM you but it did not work. My computer skills are modest. How does one remove scuffs and minor scratches from a SS finish? Anyone with any ideas help me please! I will probably buy this gun on Monday if it is still there. Steve

At a recent local gun auction, a Gold Cup (just like the one I've had for 25 years) went for $1200. So..... for all you guys who have one, I would not be in a big hurry to trade it off. Just my 2 cents. Steve

And the "s" indicates you have a hammer block safety so with the hammer down on a loaded chamber the gun will not fire even if it is dropped on the hammer or the hammer is hit hard accidentally.

Another Newbie question There are a couple of K-22's on Gun Broker, one of which will sell today and another in a day or so. I'm tempted but the way bidding is going I can see them selling for maybe $600 or more. Seems excessive. Any opinions? Are there ever "good deals" on auction sites...

Snubnose yes, 2" barrel. The 29 went for $750and the 586 turned out to be really a 520 and went for $475 (I think). There were several errors on the sale flyer. Someday I will figure out how to do pix. Thanks for being interested.

Tomorrow I will be at a "small" firearms collection auction, about 50 guns, all one owner. Included are 3 S&W's, a Chiefs Special, a 586 Highway Patrolman, and a 29. Have not seen the guns, only a thumbnail photo of each, and no description of condition. I'll take along my S&W Catalog...

Just my opinion If you can fix it, I think any old S&W revolver is worth $100 as a shooter!

If the JP holster is for a "K" Frame 4" I will take it. Please let me know by EMAIL details of payment etc. (I need E Mail because even though I'm on this site now, I often cannot get onto the site (my computer's problem I'm sure)) Steve
