I like those 3" K frame guns too. I have a couple model 65's in the sweet 3" barrel...

I have loaded HS-6 in .32 H&R mag with 115 gr cast bullets, a med-heavy crimp, & standard pistol primers with good results in my marlin rifle. Haven't tried them in my ruger single six gun yet, but I think they should be a good round there too....

I would choose the model 64 in a 4" barrel, with hollow point bullets! Ease of carry, not over penetrating, no worries of jamming & fairly weather resistant..... I always felt confident & well armed when I had to carry it on duty...

My favorite for my light loaded pistol calibres is the Alliant Red-Dot powder.

Not to insult you in any way, but have you checked to make sure the powder measure is turned on, so powder can flow through at the bottom? I had this happen to me a few times! I like these Lee measures.....

Dillon I have been thinking about upgrading to a progressive press for the last few months & I do believe all of the positive comments about Dillon has convinced me! I have been looking at some videos also of the different models, & I'm leaning towards the 550B Now I have to find a good dealer...

64-1 I was fortunate to find this 64-1 some time ago, & it's a fun shooter.... This model seems scarce up in this neck of the woods....

I use the Lee dippers sometimes when I load a few rounds to try, but I do check every 10'th round with the scale. These dippers are accurate as long as you always dip in a consistant way. I believe these cartridges were .32 H&R mag.....

The only thing right now that I'm short of, is some Alliant Red-Dot powder....

S&W 31-1 Up here in Canada, I was able to locate this little gem for $400. There wasn't any box or tools, just the gun. I would rate it at about 95% condition! I did see another not long after & the guy was asking $500. I feel fortunate!

My 4" model 64-1 is my favorite shooter. The model 65-5 twins & 14-4 are not far behind....

I purchased one of those kits some time ago. Notice there is no sear in the hammer.... I installed this kit in my model 14-4 but it was never as smooth as the original parts, so it was converted back!
