I actually just noticed that gap yesterday when I installed my AFG. Its very noticeable but it doesn't bother me. I put that gap filler in my Midway basket so the next time I order something I'll get it.

What riser are you using with the TRS to get an absolute co-witness? I want to run that optic with the absolute co-witness and I'm thinking of using the UTG medium riser.

I don't agree with this statement based on the date that you backordered the ammo. If anything its actually a sign of how bad things really are. You ordered ammo 3-4 months before panic mode, so under normal circumstances they were already 3-4 months backordered.

Basically. If you take the same length of spring and compress it into a smaller space you will get more force from the spring pushing rounds up. So you'd have to trim the spring but you don't know how much. You are going to run into reliability issues with the wrong spring rates.

You can cut body and plastic weld the floor plate back on it but what about the spring? You get that wrong and the mag is worthless/unreliable.
