I looked long and hard at the 639 there today, couldn't quite convince myself I could afford another gun just now (but I am selling something off soon, maybe then).
As Bob noted, he's been sitting on a stack of 4006 PD trade ins from FL with 2 magazines for $299 for quite a while. I looked for a long time for a good 59, finally got one, and now they're just laying around. I might have to get a 39 too.
Locally (in Central CT) there seem to be a more 39's and 59's on the shelves of local stores than in the past. On a drive by of the the two biggest dealers around here there were 2-3 of each available, at decent prices. I'm amazed that people are not picking these up at $300-350 prices.

My local Cabela's has two (I think) and they have most of the stuff with them. Outside of costing more than I could afford I don't remember specifics, but if you search the Cabela's Gun Library East Hartford, CT they should be there. FYI-This Cabela's seems pretty high priced on most used handguns.
Please go to pistoltraining.com. 62,000 rounds in a torture test that none of us would exceed, and S&W has a life time warranty. You would be lucky to shoot 60,000 rounds in a lifetime thru one pistol M&P is a good pistol. If you like it, do it.
M&P9c is a very good choice for CCW. Mine is dead accurate, POA/POI is right on at 8 yards, and it is very comfortable and controllable in rapid fire and fast doubles.
I have owned 2 M&P's. I recently traded a 9fs in on a S&W M59 that I just had to have. the only reason that I was willing to trade the M&P 9fs is because I also have a 9c that is absolutely perfect for me. I can't compare to the other brands, but both M&P's have been 100% in function and very...
I recently bought a used 59 and it is a great pistol. Very accurate and flawless in function with a wide variety of ammunition. Even though it is a little heavier than my (normal carry) M&P9c, I frequently carry this pistol.
A local store has had a stack of police trade in 4006's for over a month, and they are not moving well at their asking price of $299. If they sit much longer I may try making a lowball offer. Obviously these will not be like new, but maybe the price could get right closer to $200-225.
DeSantis Nemesis is a pocket carry holster, and there is a size to fit M&P9c. As noted,it's alot to pocket carry. How does it feel if you just stick it in your pocket and walk around? A holster won't make it any smaller or lighter. BTW-I pocket carry a Colt Mustang regularly, and pocket carried...
Maybe not exactly on point, but about 2 years ago I joined a small, local club where I can shoot only .22 lr. Very close to home, and I got in the habit of always having a Buckmark or MK II in the trunk so I could regularly (2 or 3 times weekly) stop on the way home for 100-200 rounds.Pretty...
UPLULA does not rank up there with the invention of the wheel, or the discovery of fire, but third place doesn't suck. I go to the range and wonder how everyone else has any fun jamming cartridges into hi-cap magazines.
