    M27 classic Blueing Problem

Model 27 came back from Smith. The Blueing is fantastic. Much better than the original. In retrospect, things turned out for the best.

    Miculek 625 opinions

Boringly accurate (not really but it seems so). Mine will shoot without moonclips but primer strikes are not real deep. I usually use the plastic moonclips for target and steel for combat ammo. If you get one, buy a delux moonclip tool from Dillon...

    S&W Display Pegs?

I'm not sure what you call them, but I am looking for some of those blue plastic pegs shaped like a shotgun shell that you place through the trigger guard to display a gun. Do you know what they are called and where they can be purchased? I may have posted in the wrong place but didn't know...

    945-40

I saw a Performance Center 945 in 40 S&W yesterday at a local gunshop. Does anyone have any experience with this gun and if was it favorable? Also, are magazines hard to find or are there other model magazines that would fit?

    Model 41 Accuracy Stamp

I just answered my own question. According to the factory, that mark refers to the machine it was built on so that they have traceability to it if there is a problem.

    Model 41 Accuracy Stamp

Someone told me that there is a number stamped underneath the slide on a model 41. It could be number 1-8. Number 1 is the most accurate and 8 is the least. Is this true?

    Pre 28

Today stumbled across a pre 28 4 inch nickle about 97%. Based on the serial number and production numbers I put it at 1955. Does anyone know how many nickle versions of this gun were produced?

    Ammo Shortage Influencing Caliber Selection

I was wondering due to inflating ammo prices and shortages cropping up, is that influencing the caliber of Smith's you would buy?

    25-2

I bought a 25-2 this weekend. It is a 6 1/2 45 ACP with an N33 serial number. I think it was made around 76? My question is, I thought these barrels were marked 1955 but mine is marked 1950? Is this a variation/error on the factory's part? Any background info would be appreciated.

    M27 classic Blueing Problem

I just picked up a new 6 inch model 27 classic and when I got it home to clean it up some I noticed the blue has faded spots in it. I didn't notice this in the store. Has anyone had this same problem?
