Looking closer at the barrel it is stamped “38 S&W SPECIAL CTG”

Are either of these two what you’re suggesting?

Can someone tell me if this revolver is a “pre-model 10” or a .38 M&P? The serial number is S869XXX, 4” barrel in .38 S&W. Also what are the correct grips for it. Thanks!

Looking for original high horn grips but will look at others.

This is a “no dash” model. I’m the second owner but have never fired it. It has the original box and paperwork and comes with two sets of grips. Trades considered are Pre-lock S&W 66’s and 686’s with 2.5 and 3” barrels. I will provide more pictures tomorrow.

I place my m37 in the end zippered pouch of my gym bag which is always beside the equipment I'm using. I usually work out with one or two other deputies and we keep an eye on each others bag.

I thought about having the flat latch re-nickled but decided against it. It's going into the off duty carry rotation.

Duty gun is a Glock 22. BUG is S&W 342. Off duty depends on weather and where I'm going.

Thanks for the info. Yes I checked them both. I knew the former police officer who previously owned the flat latch. It was carried as an off duty gun and was rarely fired. The nickle is bubbling in a couple of places though. The blued one was a personal weapon of the pawn shop owner. He carried...

I spent the day hitting the area pawn shops and came home with two model 37's!!! The first is a 37 no dash, nickle, round butt, flat latch, diamond grips, serial # 233***. Second is a 37 no dash, blue, round butt, serial # J58***. Can someone please tell me the approximate date of manufacture...
