    My 340 looks just like that plus more from pocket carrying it for 2 years straight. All the finish on most edges is gone. I think it gives it character :)

    I dunno why everyone has trouble with 357's in their j frames? I mean I don't go out and shoot 100 rounds of the stuff but 25 rounds is fine for me. I don't have big meaty mitts either. I guess it just doesn't bother me that much. Although the CT grips I have do make for a lot more...

    I got to be honest (M&P340)

    I wouldn't give up yet either. I can myself place 5 shots of 357 in a fist sized grouping at about 15 yards now that I've practiced with it. I like my 340 even more after I found out I could "stack" the trigger and make it almost a single action.

    340M&P replacement gun ?

    Clean it how you normally would I'd say. I carry a M&P340 daily and other than some edge wear its fine. I lube mine up every now and then and that is it.

    What S&W Revolver do you regret letting go of the most?

    A 625 Mountain Gun in 45 Colt. Deep S&W bluing with some nice Ahrends grips. It was a new production gun with the lock but, I only bought it back then cause it was kind of limited and 95% of S&W's revo's were/are stainless. Sold it cause I didn't need another new caliber at the time.

    I keep the three clips that came with it loaded up next to it on the bedside table but, when out just plinking or whatever I load the rounds in single.     MP 340 or 360 vs 327 Performance

    Have carried my M&P340 for over a year, everyday, all day. I wouldn't trade it for any other pocket pistol. Shooting 357's in it don't both me much at all. Though I do have a set of Crimson Trace 405's on mine. The rubber backstrap on the CT's helps a lot.
