    WTB: 1917 Barrel or Gun

    Still in the market!!

What are the things you value most in a carry gun?

I have found that concealability is primary for me, which is directly related to your concern of availability. By this, though, I don't mean the smallest gun I can find. Rather, it is about fit and ergonomics given what I usually wear and where I am likely to go (95%) as well as where I may...

    J Frame Carry-What am I missing?

Pocket carry draw is inconsistent. Jeans pockets versus casual pants versus the pockets on suit trousers, all have different pocket shapes, access angles, depths, etc.. Reholstering back into a pocket holster one-handed? Maybe it will work, good luck. And having a gun in one pocket, speed...

    Concealed Carry: .38 Special vs .32 Magnum(s)

If you could routinely and reliably find 327Mag defensive ammo, then I'd be all for a six-shot j-frame in that caliber. But you can't, so that decision largely makes itself.

    5906.... again

Good score and congrats on getting a 5906 back in your hands after all those years. Hope it gives much enjoyment. Prices have definitely moved upward on these in recent years. Luckily mags and small parts (little springs, etc.) are still easily available.

    WTB: 1917 Barrel or Gun

I'm in need of a barrel for a Brazilian/1917. Good condition strongly preferred. Needs to actually have rifling in it, unlike mine. :D Alternatively, I might be in the market for a whole 1917 or Brazilian.

    Colt Series 70

They are meant to be enjoyed. Treat them with care, sure, but shoot them. There is something to the feel of these older Colts and GI 1911s that the new ones, even the new GI clones, don’t have. I can’t explain it, but shoot a new one side by side with an old one, and tell me I’m wrong. Got a...

    4" N-Frame Holsters

EDIT - Price reductions made on 8-28-18. So I sold the last of my 4" N-frames, so it is time to find new homes for the remaining holsters. I have four up for sale here. All are for right-hand use on a 1.5" belt. Asking prices are what I think is fair, but if I'm off on price, throw me an...

    SPF - Colt New Service 5.5" 45LC

Bump. Still have it! To answer in public a few questions asked by PM, the bore is great. Timing feels great. Fore-aft movement of the cylinder is minimal, with very small cylinder to forcing cone gap. Some small play in the cylinder rotationally with the hammer cocked, though I'm not sure...

    My first 1911 :)

Thinking that his isn't going to leave him with that authentic hammer bite too much, either. Got a few 1911s, Colt and Union Switch&Signal, with the wide spur hammers and the short grip safeties that bite the bejesus out of me.

Shot an Airweight Bodyguard loose...who to fix it, refinish it?

Got a nickel m38 Airweight Bodyguard that I have put about a bazillion rounds through. It is loose in all directions, it spits, and the finish has seen better days - lots of sweat and holster wear over many years did not do it any favors. But I like the gun and it has sentimental value, and...

Culina (Kurac) Grips - N-Frame Magnas, Bastogne Walnut

I swore I would never sell these, but truth is I am never going to use them, so here we go. For sale are two circa 2011 bastogne walnut Magnas from Mr. Culina. One set is finished in a matte finish and the other, per my request, was furnished to me unfinished and still slightly oversized. I...

    SPF - Colt New Service 5.5" 45LC

Colt New Service c.1920s, 5.5" barrel, 45 Long Colt. Newer rosewood checkered grips plus original Colt plastic checkered grips (with chip in one panel, as often happens). The gun is huge - it feels notably larger in the hand than an N-frame S&W; S&W 442 pictured for scale. Locks up tightly and...
