    Picked up a 9VE today

Alright, I don't mean to bore anyone who might read this whenever I update but I like to put my findings somewhere that someone else might be able to use them for their own research. Anyways, over this past weekend I sent another 116 down range through the Sigma. Ammo was a mag's worth of WWB...

    Picked up a 9VE today

Ya know what, you're right. They are aluminum. Either way, I did not like picking up an empty to see that it had ruptured. Had I not picked any up, I would not have known. There were no differences in the report so it was just business as usual. It will be brass and steel cased ammo from now on.

    Picked up a 9VE today

Gonna bring this back to life a bit. Haven't been able to shoot much at all lately due to moving and working. I finally made it out the other day and put a little over 100 rounds through the Sigma. Those rounds consisted of some WWB, some CCI Blazer steel cased FMJ's, as well as some Winchester...

Which Glock model is the same size as the SW40VE?

I wonder if this might be the link you are looking for... Smith & Wesson’s Improved Sigma 9mm Auto Have to scroll down to around halfway but there is a table comparing the Sigma with the G19. That being said, it is most similar to their compact line of pistols. As far as a formed leather...

    Picked up a 9VE today

Like I said, VERY comfortable. I would definitely recommend to anyone who needed/wanted to change the feel of the gun to better fit their hands. I already thought it fit pretty well but felt there could be a bit of room for improvement and the sleeve did just that. As far as anything else goes...

    Picked up a 9VE today

Well I got the grip sleeve on and it makes it feel like a whole new firearm. Still fits pretty damn well in the hands, if not better. Unfortunately, my weekend got a little screwed up so no shooting. On the upside, I get to go Sunday and I'll have a chance to pick up a little more ammo to throw...

    Picked up a 9VE today

Really nothin goin on with the Sigma right now; haven't had a chance to get out and shoot her again. Just a little bit ago I ordered a Pachmayr grip sleeve for it. Hopefully it will be here Saturday morning so I can throw it on before I head to the range for a little bit. I've got about 100...

    Picked up a 9VE today

Just thought I'd throw this in here for anyone still looking through... I had purchased 300 rounds (total) of Remington UMC, Federal Champion, and WWB. Was able to burn through about 215-220 rounds and, through all that were fired, still no issues firing or feeding. As far as the springs being...

    Picked up a 9VE today

I had been toying around with the idea of removing the two springs from the trigger assembly and decided today I would do it. Even though the initial trigger pull didn't bother me, sometimes I can't leave things be :p. Anyways, I popped the pin out at the back of the frame, took out what I...

    Picked up a 9VE today

Took a couple shots of the holster a little bit ago. Now comes the task of finding where it sits on me the best while walking, sitting, standing, etc. I've gotta say, for picking up this holster for only $25, it fits the gun like a glove. It's got some nice material to it, but I wouldn't have...

    Picked up a 9VE today

You and me both. Wouldn't be so bad had I not needed to buy a car back in March. But, thats life. What're ya gonna do, ya know? Memorial Day is coming up soon though and that's a time where I get to splurge a little on ammo though

    Picked up a 9VE today

Yeah, I've got no regrets in getting the 9mm. I could have easily had them order me a 40SW and picked it up at a later date but we all see the decision I went with. As far as the trigger, I've put 150 rounds through it as well as about 100 or so dry fires and its already noticeably different...

    Picked up a 9VE today

Very nice. The one I ordered should be in tomorrow so, as soon as I get to try her out, I'll post my findings/impressions.

    Picked up a 9VE today

Well, like I said I had originally wanted the .40. Had I really thought I'd be missing out I would have just had them order me one. I'm happy with what I walked out with and plan on getting my money's worth out of it. What kind of holster do you carry yours in? I just ordered a Bianchi 6D...

    Picked up a 9VE today

Ok, so I put 150 rounds through the Sigma this afternoon. I am very pleased with this firearm after just the one trip to the range. The ammo for today was 100 rounds of TulAmmo and 50 WWB. Overall, I had no FTF's and no FTE's. Every round fed flawlessly and was sent downrange without issue...

    Picked up a 9VE today

If anyone had seen my post in the intro section, they would know my plan to pick up a Sigma in .40 S&W after work today... Well, I suffered through the 4 hours and made it to the shop where I was buying the gun. Ideally, I wanted a .40 S&W. Unfortunately, they only had the 9MM. So, I looked at...

Hey everyone, new guy from the Pittsburgh area. Been reading as a guest for a little while now and decided to finally join today. I don't own any Smiths - yet. I'm picking up a Sigma 40 this weekend. I own three Savage rifles and a Mossberg shotgun but this will be my first handgun purchase...
