Own two Shields both 9's about year and a half old. My EDC has 3100 rounds and hers has about 2700 rounds. Both take everything we feed them without any problems.

Our Shields have well over 1000 rounds on them. We have used lots of different ammo.... brass, steel and aluminum cased. Have used aluminum cased for range ammo with other 9MM handguns and the Shield eats it like a champ. As long as the ammo you use meets SAAMI specifications it should be OK...
