Bought our second one on Sunday. Now I get to shoot one.

Picked up our second today. My wife took pity on me because I hardly ever got to shoot hers. I'll be carrying mine when I find a holster or pocket carry with an empty chamber.

I've shot my guns before cleaning them but never before striping them and giving them a good looking over. If I found them lightly oiled with a clear bore I had no problem shooting them.

The wife uses Gold Dot 124gr. I will probably use the same in mine. We have used Guard Dog but she likes the Gold Dot.

My wife is very accurate with her Shield also. I really want one for myself. I don't think we will be looking for a new EDC for her any time soon.

I bought a Shield 9mm. for my wife and she likes shooting it. She uses it for an EDC. She started with a LCP, then a LCR in .38spl. She didn't like shooting the LCR and I didn't care all that much for shooting it either. The Shield is great to shoot and that makes practicing so much...

I've also had one for a couple of years and load 9mm and .45 mags with it. I would guess that I've loaded several thousand rounds and it is still going strong. Best $25 I've spent.

Roll pins are easy to find at your local Ace Hardware and easy to replace. It is nice to have a roll pin punch for the size you are working with and I bet they either have one or can get you one. That is a good way to start building a new set of speciality tools.

I have a Ruger SR22 pistol and the wife and I love it. You should be able to pick one up for around $300 if your LGS ever gets one. You have to check in often as they only stay in the case for a day.:(
