The selection on Netflix doesn't update that fast. I watched a ton of stuff before but now, not so much. However, I also got Amazon Prime instant video so that helps supplement it. Watch both on my PS3.

I went with the 5" - Longer sight radius = easier for me to get accurate hits at longer ranges.

It depends on the red dot and the mount. My Vortex SPARC does full co-witness with my sights (MI Front & Magpul rear).

I have some videos of me shooting at the range, at IDPA and USPSA matches... That usually piques people's interest.

I took this course last year at a different range in NJ. I definitely learned a lot. And yes, you do burn through about 500 rounds. Bring as many mags as you can.... And if you NJ guys need help finding 15 round mags, just toss me a PM - I know plenty of dealers that sell them. Both Pmags...

9 Pro trigger is marginally better than the regular M&P triggers. If you're going to replace the sights for adjustable ones and do a trigger job, I'd try finding a 9L.... but good luck with that - they're not being made anymore as S&W figured they'd make more money by selling only Pros.

Another +1 for the Thermacell - love mine.

Buds is ok but you may be able to find one at a LGS or gun show for cheaper (after transfer fees, etc.). Not a lot of them are numbers matching, but make sure the bore is bright. If it's still packed in Cosmoline, you have to clean it out (thoroughly).

Plenty of places online sell #4 Buck. Cabelas generally has it.

Backpack is fine - just store the ammo separately. If you have the gun in a lockable case, that counts as separately. I use a range bag, myself, and will keep ammo inside. The pistols are in the bag too but locked up so it's all good.

If you need some extra mags, Let me know - I thought I was going to buy a BG380 at one time and bought some mags :D
