Four feet in heaven (as of 14:45) post #52

It's hard to lose a special friend like yours. I lost my best buddy, Butter in May. Best cat I ever had. Hopefully time will make it easier to bear.

    Rock Island 1911

I have the cmdr. size .45 and could not be happier with it. Have shot about 1000 rounds through it and have had no issues. You may want think about changing the grip panels out. They are pretty but don't have texture and can be a little slippery.

What is your collecting niche? Why?

I like the .41 magnum and have more of them than anything else currently. I like having something unusual to shoot and enjoy the search for new or unusual ones.

I'm with you. If I had that much to spend on liquor, I would buy 4-5 high quality N-frames instead.

Johnny Walker Blue. Paid $99.00 in about 2001 for a bottle. Had about one drink a year for about 10 years from that bottle. Christmas or special occasions only, of course. I think it goes for about $250.00 now.

    Why?

Too funny! I found my 4" 657 at a local gun show. I literally saw it from across the exhibition hall. It appeared to be NIB, and was unfired. It did not remain so for long. It's now my favorite .41 Magnum. Keep searching, one will turn up.

Curious 41 Magnum Model 657 4 inch PIC

An old thread, but had to post Had to post the 4" 657 I bought today at a local gun show. Came with 5 boxes of factory ammo, a new set of Ahrends grips in the package, the box it is in, and a tool kit. The gun looks to be in about 98% condition and the other items were icing on the cake. [/URL]
