    .44 spc,Truth or Myth?

I have a good 44 Spcl that I loaded with Corbon stuff, and I did NOT like the results. After a dozen of them, I remembered why I bought a 44 Spcl instead of a 44 Magnum. The Special is a very respectable cartridge as is. I use LSWC of the Kieth style for casual shooting, and I've fired some 44...

    Remington versus Mossberg

I had a mid 70s production 870 that was a nice gun. Until a few months ago I had two older model 500s. Now I'm down to one - my small game and home defense gun. I prefer the tang safety on the 500 because I grew up shooting doubles and expecting the safety to be there. When it comes down to...

    Bankers Special

Nice snubby and a good cartridge! It served LEO very well in the past. Some say the 38S&W isn't up to par with the modern cartridges, but it's just as deadly today as it ever was.

    I seldom buy a re-finished gun........

I don't see very many 2" M15s on the market. People who have them are loathe to part with them. That's a very nice piece. I'm jealous.

The handguns I've purchased from the NYPD Equipment Section

You have good taste in duty and OD guns. My usual carry gun was a nickel plated S&W M15, my favorite OD was a Dick Special, Cobra variant w/the bigger grips and the better barrel. Hard to beat a good wheel gun.

    S&W 442

Whoa! You're doing the shooting? I thought it was your wife's gun. You know you'll hafta buy another now, don't you? She won't like you running off to the range with HER gun all the time!

A pair of Kit Guns in vintage Hunter holsters

My off duty gun when I went to work for a CO sheriff's department in the early 70s was a Dick Special, Cobra variant. I thought I was just saving a few bucks by using a Hunter 'temporarily'. It became the permanent home for the Dick Special. I used a Hunter for a Ruger SA about twenty years...

Would You Ever Swap Out your "J" for One of the Small Autos?

I've tried small autos, but I won't give up my M37. I've been a wheel gun man since I could walk, and the revolver will always be my first choice.

**UPDATE** Late Serial Number Transition 38/44 Heavy Duty

Beautiful find! Looks like it came right out of a time capsule. Could it be described as "perfect in box"?

    Rigarmi pocket pistol .25ACP

I just wandered into this conversation by accident a few minutes ago. I realize it's an old discussion, but I'll add to it anyway. I've had one of these for five or six years. We all know the 25ACP is one step above a rubber band gun. I have trouble hitting a 2'x4' target at five feet with my...

Current carry: what's on you right now?

I'm glad to see so many revolvers chosen for concealed carry. I have nothing 'on' me at the moment, but a 5904 is within easy reach.

    Air Weight Questions

You say your 85CH 'shoots great' and you carry it in a holster that works well for you. So why change?

Merry Christmas to Me - Nickel RM

I started in LE with a Sheriff's dept in CO in the early 70s. We provided our own guns. I chose a NP Model 15 with target hammer and trigger and the coke bottle grips. I was the only LEO in the county who carried NP. I didn't realize it was such a personal identifier til I went to the bank one...

    Non Registered Magnum

Sounds like the owner and gun were true partners, and partners take care of each other. I bet he was good with it. I wouldn't have wanted to get cross ways with him.

K-32 large ejector rod knob, with a twist?

Regardless of prod/ship dates and other details, these are good pix of a fine revolver.
