    Police marked Model 10's

First let me say that I'm not what you would call an "avid" collector. I have a few smiths but nothing i would call a collection. I recently saw a MPDC marked 2" Model 10 sell on gunbroker for $905. It was 95% or better judging by the pictures. Question 1: What does MPDC stand for...

Conceal Carry Class denying 2nd Amendment

This might be a bad analogy. ..... every gun show I have gone to requires that all guns must be unloaded and haven't seen anyone complain about that practice. I don't see how the instructor of the Utah class is doing anything different. Just my two cents.

    Model 28 vs 28-2

I say this because almost every 28-2 I see is bringing has a higher asking price than 28 no dash in similar condition. Should have clarified this in the original post.

    Model 28 vs 28-2

I know what the differences between the two variations are, but why is 28-2 more desirable than the 28 no dash?

    Factory Refinishing Markings

I have "5096" stamped on the left side of the grip frame. Would that have any meaning?

    Factory Refinishing Markings

What marking(s) should someone look for if you think a revolver has been sent back for refinishing?
