Is is possible to find a Model 19 that is pinned and recessed that was made in 1981 (my birth year)? I know that was the transition period but could i really find one?

I have a 3" model 60 and am thinking about putting 3 dot sights on it. Are there any drawbacks of doing this or anything I should be aware of before I do? Also if any has done this already what sights did you use?

It's a horrible picture but its my Model 28 no dash. Only N frame I have

I say this because almost every 28-2 I see is bringing has a higher asking price than 28 no dash in similar condition. Should have clarified this in the original post.

I know what the differences between the two variations are, but why is 28-2 more desirable than the 28 no dash?

I have "5096" stamped on the left side of the grip frame. Would that have any meaning?

What marking(s) should someone look for if you think a revolver has been sent back for refinishing?

Been wanting an N frame 357 and finally found one. Pics are terrible but it has been well taken care of with no wear marks or scratches. It will go well with my 60-15 and 586. Now I just need to find k frame!
