Does anyone make stainless steel coil pins for the M&P locking block and sear housing? My factory ones are rusting.

I might order standard replacements from S&W, and thereafter keep them oiled or better yet coated with Hornady One Shot Gun Cleaner and Lubricant (not One Shot case lube, which is a different thing)... or remove the rusted ones and clean them up, paint them black, and keep them lubed...

One of the reasons I like the new striker-fired Sig P320 is... no cross pins to rust or walk out on their own.

I ordered the ones from McMaster Carr, they arrived today. I got the 420 stainless ones .125" (they're actually .132") by 1". Replaced both of them in my core (if you look at the picture below you can see how one of them was coming apart) I could have had S&W send me a couple but I bought 25 of them (minimum order). The originals lasted 55K rounds so I should be set for a couple of years. (the pin on the right is one of the new ones, it's a shorter than the originals by .060 but there is plenty of bearing surface in the frame).

McMaster-Carr's part number is 93740A221 in case someone is interested.;) The pins were $7.18 and the shipping was $7.71, good thing I didn't order them from Larry, he would have added a "small order fee"

Looks good. Are they bright stainless? Mine turn bright after I take them in and out a few times to do the Apex mods :). Did that one pin start to break?

They're not polished but they are kind of a matte stainless. Yes that was the forward pin and it was coming apart. I had to squeeze the center part together to get it out of the hole. The rear pin looked OK. I suppose the impact of the barrel locking onto the front block puts more stress on the forward pin. I changed the pins in all my M&P's, even though none of the others have close to the round count on the one that broke. Cheap insurance from having to do the "needle nose tango" with another broken pin.;)
