Where to buy original replacement shield parts?

Maybe a newbie question but im looking for a replacement stock trigger bar for my m&p shield 40 and i cant seem to find it anywhere online. I cant seem to find any replacement stock parts for the shield... not even the part numbers.

Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Good luck finding anything. S&W has pretty well restricted all parts sales, and the Shield is at the top of the restricted parts. Used to be you could get parts directly from S&W, and from Brownells, Midway, and other suppliers. Now it is hard to find stock parts for any of the M&P models, most parts show not in stock.

Yup... "Stock" parts seem to come from only the factory and the factory seems to only Replace parts, not sell them.
... and to GET these replacement parts, they seem to insist on the owner sending the entire pistol to them, so THEY can replace them (to ensure the install was done properly?).

Sending them the entire pistol to install a simple replacement part seems like a major waste of time and money (just for shipping), but I'm guessing that somewhere along the line, they had a bunch of problems when they simply sold replacement parts to the 'End User'. [Shrug]

Shield Replacement Parts

I lost the tiny, little sear return plunger :eek:(fits into the top of the sear spring) from my Shield 9mm today while doing some maintenance and need to buy another one. Anybody know how/where to get OEM parts like this? Tried S&W, APEX, Brownell's site and no luck. I've seen the previous posts that they are difficult to get, but thought maybe something has changed, lately.
Anybody have any sources?

Just an update on trying to find a sear plunger for my Shield...Just spoke with S&W CS this morning and they are sending out a new plunger today. No questions or issues. Very pleased they were able to help me obtain this so quickly.:)
