Good Evening all,
Thanks for adding me.
So, I use to own Glocks sold them. A co-worker talked me in to checking out the Shield in .45acp liked it so much I purchased one, and Shield 9mm M2.0 and a full size M&P M2.0 in .45acp.
Today I call S&W about my rebate for the Shield .45acp purchased back in September. What I got was my rebate was paid to a lady in FL under my serial number. So at this point I have to fax S&W photos of the box with serial number, firearm and proof of purchase. I asked to be transferred over to the warranty department, to make sure the weapons are registered in my name. And of course I get the voice mail.... has this happened to everyone else? Thanks

Agree, I never did receive the magazine loader I requested as a bonus when I purchased a Model 15 Sport a couple years ago.

This is very sad customer service. Think I’ll give any S&W rebate offers a miss.

I bought an M&P 2.0 about a month ago. Then I stumbled across their Nations Finest rebate. For LEO, Military, and retired military. Wasn't even aware of it when I purchased the firearm, but apparently it has been running since 1 January and goes through the end of December. I submitted all the required documentation for the $50 rebate. Don't know if I'll ever see it, but it's worth a try.

Sorry some of you have had trouble. I have participated in a couple of rebates from Smith with good results. Plus if it's like other companies I bet Smith doesn't even handle the rebate process but rather contracts it out...not sure but it's common practice. I hope they get you taken care of quickly.

Nope, my experience was completely different. I had an issue with my magazines but I was able to speak directly to a real person who resolved it by sending new parts within 24 hours.

And the rebate on my 45 Shield was processed exactly as advertised, took a while but the check showed up and I got the money without any issues. Sorry you're having problems and hope you get it sorted out.

I read so many problems about the S&W rebates that I have to brag about this. On Nov. 6th I bought a Bushmaster AR15 which had a $150 rebate. Sent in the required paperwork and received my rebate Dec. 16th. When I bought my Shield a year ago there was no rebate but I got it at a good black Friday price and a $50 store credit. btw/ I got a rebate on that .223 ammo also.

I also just sent in paperwork for Nation's Finest (veterans) rebate program - hoping I'll receive it however doesn't sound to promising.

I have eventually received all the rebates and extras. It just takes a long time. If you do it online, it is much faster. I would count on 2-3 months and try to forget about it, and one day you will get a big surprise in the mail. Good Luck!

If S&W would put as much effort into actually fulfilling the rebate promise as they do to making new excuses every time I call then they might have something.

I'm hoping that eventually they will run out of oddball excuses & just send the rebate items.

It just went over 6-1/2 months since I applied so I'm really not expecting much effort from S&W.

I guess the good news is that rebate debacle is actually saving me some money as I now refuse to buy any new S&W guns.

I bought a 442 Dec 22. Received my $50 debit/credit card on Jan 16. I registered for the card online the day after I bought it, so there is hope for all.

I bought a new SW M-686 from Grab a Gun on December 28, 2017. Picked it up from my FFL on January 2, 2018. Submitted the "$50 Winter Promotion" rebate on January 5th. Received my $50 gift card on January 19th. Pretty stinkin' swift.

I bought my shield back in August last summer and mailed my rebate back right away, I put in for the magazines and ammo, mine arrived the first week of December but to my surprise I got check for $75.00, so much for having s choice, I bought a Bodyguard a week before Christmas for the wife and put in for the $50 rebate Can’t wait to see what I get this time.

For the life of me..I can't understand WHY can't they just run a "sale" and take the "rebate" amount OFF right off at the register? Is that just too simple??
Law of numbers. They know how many will not file for rebate so it cuts their overall cost by $XX while still getting the purchases for the discounted price.

I bought my 642 from the Academy on black friday and on top of the $50 rebate from S&W I also received a $50 gift card from the Academy right there & then. 3 weeks later I got my rebate card from S&W. I then purchased a 686 from buds gun shop right before Christmas and just got my rebate card from S&W just last week.... I would just say be patient guys, you'll get it eventually.

I just received shipping notification on all three S&W rebates.

Shield 45 (16 September) and Shield 9 (24 September): Magazines, ammo, and mag loader. Delivery Wednesday.

Bodyguard $50 rebate (12 December). Shipping 10-15 business days.
