I have the bug! I've had my Shield 40 for two weeks and have burned through most of my range ammo. I've purchased a 9mm barrel and mag (no ammo to be found :( ) Now I want a drop in 357 sig barrel. Seems like there is always some 357 sig on the local shelf.

I've read some old posts but wanted some more up-to-date info. Any suggestions on a 357 barrel?

Thanks!

have it in my M&P 40

I have a conversion barrel in my 40 like the fact it uses the .40cal magazine
I reload my .357 sigs don't really know the price or availability of the sigs
I like to be able to have two different caliber guns under one registration I have the .22 factory conversion for my Sig 226 9mm that adds two more
could convert my .40 to .9mm if I didn't have the sig

I have done this conversion without any difficulty except the gun shot 4" low with the .357sig ammo. I changed the front sight and solved the problem. I have no intention of going back to .40, I really dislike the round, particularly in the Shield. I used the barrel referenced above.

Sound thinking about the ammo availability and the .357 SIG is a caliber I like. No Shield here but do have a M&P .40 with a conversion barrel for .357. I also like the Springfield Armory XD in the caliber.
