1.0 Compact magazine covert to 2.0 compact 10 round
Hi Everyone,
Newbie to this big SW family. I am very excited to pick up my very first M&P9 2.0 Compact in a couple days. Since I am in CA, I can't get the 15 round that came with original package. I have searched for a long period of time for OEM (3011449) or After market 10 round mag. Seems everywhere is sold out and even emailed SW to see if there is planned production in near future, but no luck anywhere.
I know Full Size mag (1.0 or 2.0) will fit to 2.0 compact and stick out, so I need a spacer to cover.
But I truly appreciate the design of shorter grip of compact. So I was thinking if there is anywhere I can purchase the bottom block, and added to 1.0 compact magazine so it can fit to 2.0 compact perfectly.
I tried to search all over the internet, but all I got is added round magazine extension. I am not looking to add any round to make more than 10 but extend magazine length to fit to M2.0 Compact.
I am not sure what it called, buttplate? Extension block? All input are welcome, and thank you for your time. Reference photo attached (Red circled portion)
Thanks,

This is the only thing I know of. Not sure if this is what you are looking for.

It's likely that all the 10 round 9mm M&P magazine bodies are the same. I have a 1.0 Full size and 1.0 Compact. I already had a bunch of fullsize mags when I bought my compact but no extra mags were available. When I found out they were the same bodies, springs and followers, I called S&W and they sent me a few of the compact base plates. I was able to swap the full for the compact and it gave me a few extra mags without the need for my xgrips. BTW, there was no charge!!
Sooo, you might call S&W CS, explain the situation and see if they can scrounge up a couple for you. If they can, buy a few fullsize or compact mags and swap out.
Here's the full size vs 1.0 Compact mag.

Thanks for the reply. I am actually looking for something to get shorter magazine extended so it will be perfect fit to M2.0 Compact grip. I have got spacer for FS mag. But it will turn grip to FS length. Thanks again for your time.

I called SW this afternoon. I told her what I was looking for, and she kept saying FS mag should fit 2.0 compact, and the thing I need was sleeves. I told her I understand. But I was looking for the buttplate of 10 round mag for 2.0 compact. She said she well known their product, and told me just get the FS mag. and finally I beg her to check 3011499 part number (10 round for 2.0 compact) and all I need is the buttplate of this part. Then she said OK, and asked me name and address, after a minute, she said I am all set. Let's wait and see what comes in the mail. lol. Thanks for the tip to call.

How many did you ask for? I asked for 3 pinky extensions. Two to replace the ones from the fullsize, and 1 to replace the flush plate that came on one of the included mags.

oh man....after she kept insisting that I should use FS mag, and finally send me whatever I asked for, I forgot and DIDN'T ask for QTY. sigh....let me see what she send, then I will call again. Should've asked for 3 also.

Post some measurements when you get it. I have 2 10 round .40 mags for the full size. The mag body is longer so the base plate is shorter. I wonder if the .40 base on a 9mm body would work.
I'll put one together later and post some dimensions. Perhaps they compare to the 15 round 2.0 compact mags.

Here's a comparison of the 10 round 9mm vs .40/.357. See the differernce in the mag body and floor plate length.
However, I suspect it still won't work as the bottom flares out more for the full grip vs the 2.0 compact.

Hi, so I got the buttplate today. They sent me 2 with a huge shoebox size box. Anyways. It worked. Check photo attached. M2.0 compact grip size is between FS and 2.0 subcompact( =1.0 compact). It after swapped from FS 10 round mag, it now become flush fit. Very happy!
