Has anybody here tried the Armscor magazines for the Full Size M&P9 2.0? Been seeing them on a vendor's website and was wondering if they were something that could at least be used as range mags to hold down the wear and tear on my factory mags.

I have nothing but factory magazines. Never failed me, so I don't use anything else.

I have some of the magazines listed by Greg Cote as
"ACT-MAG / ARMSCOR SMITH&WESSON M&P9"

They fit and feed. I am not shooting as much M&P as I was so I don't know about durability.

At $20 vs $37 I think it would be worth your while to try a couple.

Puts them ahead of most Pro-mags.:D

ACT mags are very similar to mec gar and made in italy.
Their1911 mags are excellent and S&W supplied them for years(and may still) with their 1911's.
on the other hand with 9mm so cheap right now you;ll save enough to afford factory..
your choice

There's no way I'd carry with anything other than factory mags. May try a few for range practice though.

I picked up a bunch, maybe 15 of them at a pawn shop for 6 bucks each, they all work just like factory mags, that said, when a weapon is used for SD I use nothing but OEM factory mags that have proved themselves worthy. A while back, I found some 17rd OEM mags, used on a website selling for 9 bucks each, picked up about 25 of them and I'd say maybe 20 of them had never seen use, the ones that did had mostly slight finish wear.

I picked up some used factory mags some time ago and was pleased with what I got. Also been keeping an eye out for more of them on a few sites and the 9mm mags keep showing out of stock. I'll keep looking.

If it is a range toy, no problem with aftermarket mags. That said, if the mags begin to malfunction, you will never really know for sure if it is a magazine problem or a gun problem, and that erodes confidence if it is a carry gun or used for defense. Unless factory mags are unavailable, I always recommend factory mags only.
