Are they putting Maryville on all of them now?

Why wouldn't they? I have a couple of 1911's that say Houlton, Me. on them. I don't think they have any capacity in Houlton these days.

I'd like to see an M&P with that roll mark. I'm about 30 min away and would also like it if they had a showroom floor.

I believe it has been standard procedure for S&W to mark the handgun where it was physically made or should I say finished? And not necessarily where they are headquartered.

Given that, I would surmise that this pistol (some Sigma variant, is it?) was made in Tennessee. I would think most S&W guns being churned out currently are not wearing the Maryville, TN stamp yet.

But this is VERY cool and the first I have seen it. For some of us (for me absolutely…!) this is a glimmer of hope in a sea of darkness.

Revolvers should still be stamped Springfield, MA. Don’t know if any guns are still made in Houlton, ME but all those evil, standard capacity black guns will be marked TN.

Like others have said, Federal law requires they get marked where they are made.

FYI: Beretta moved from Maryland to Gallatin TN (just outside Nashville) some years ago.
