In the last three years,I've ordered a few pocket holsters from a company and they've all been perfect. Today I received a pocket holster for my Bodyguard 2.0 and look at the attached picture. Part of the trigger guard is exposed, the mag release spot is way forward and a half-inch high and the holster locks on the slide and not the trigger guard like it should. I called them and talked to the owner and he said that they have three moulds for the Bodyguard 2.0 and one of them was made wrong. Mine was made by the defective one and they are re-making another holster for me and said to just throw the defective one away. I asked him how it ever got past a final inspection before being shipped and didn't get an answer. I won't name them, as they are going to make it right and have a good reputation that I don't want to tarnish, but I'm a little peeved.

Geezz... finding the right holster can be time consuming and disappointing when you actually get it and try it. The problem I see with that holster is the trigger is too exposed? And the mag release is exposed. I don't like that design.

I have one of these and it works exactly like I want it to.

The Muddy River Tactical is a quality kydex pocket holster for the BG2 and has provided me with extraordinary Customer Service.

Good they are replacing it but that is bad enough that they should have had a recall. Especially knowing they had a bad mold.

That partially uncovered trigger on a pocket holster although not severe is enough that it could cause a safety issue.

I'm not seeing all that much of an issue with the OP's holster; the trigger is adequately covered.
I've used Alabama Holster for a long time, but the one for the BG2.0 doesn't clear in some pockets.
I'm using a little DeSantis for now, and it is actually working fine.
But I'm open to suggestions.
GnarlsR2, you're happy with your Muddy River?

Unless the trigger housing is completly covered, I wouldn't consider it safe. I had a flashlight lanyard fall into get caught on a trigger that wasn't fully covered and I almost caused a discharge when grabbing the flashlight. Also, look where the inlet for the magazine release is situated. It's not even close to where it should be. Also, the holster is supposed to lock on the trigger guard, but it doesn't.

you broke rule #1 in pocket carry. NEVER put anything in the same pocket as your carry piece!

why would a company that knows they have a bad mold not destroy it?

Well you assumed wrong, as I didn't break that rule. The flashlight was on my belt and on a million to one chance, the lanyard dropped into my bellows type pocket and fell into the trigger guard through the small open space.

As for the the company, why don't you call MIE Productions and ask Mike, the owner? He told me they had three molds and one of them was defective and didn't catch it. I'd like to know why they didn't final check it before shipping, which was the purpose of my original post.

My bad for the ASSUME! sorry.
