First off, I don't go posting every time I have a good outcome doing business with a company. Second, I'm in no way affiliated with Larue Tactical, and get no kickbacks or such for referrals.
After having trouble with another company's scope mount, I was referred by a friend to Larue Tactical. I started looking at their mounts and thought "You've got to be kidding me, can these prices be right". I spoke with the friend who referred me and his statement was "you get what you pay for" and "their customer service and product are excellent". Ok, so I bite the bullet so to speak and order up a scope mount with the quick detach lever system. It arrives, and to my disappointment it was the wrong size. This was 100% my fault, as I got in a hurry and had ordered the mount for 1" rings when I needed 30mm rings. So I contact Larue Tactical and I pay shipping back to them as it was my fault. They graciously accept the return with no restocking fee and send out my new mount in the correct size. I install the scope and mount it to my rifle. Zero the rifle, remove the scope (mount and scope as one piece), then put it back on the rifle and my zero is perfect. A week later I decide to mount the scope on another rifle and realize I need to make a small adjustment to the quick detach levers. I go to my box from Larue (that had numerous swag items like a hat, dillo dust, copies of the constitution, and a bottle opener) and find everything but the wrench to adjust the levers. A call to Larue with an explanation that yes it has been a week or two since my order arrived, but I just now noticed there is no adjustment wrench. Larue Tactical rep apologizes, reminds me a 3/8" wrench can work, then ships me out a replacement without any further questions. No blame, no payment for shipping or anything like that. I wish more companies made excellent products, and had the same excellent customer service to back that up. Sorry for the long rant, I recently had two bad experiences one with a firearm company and another with a firearm accessory company. Just thought I would spread the word about a good company, with a good product, and the right people to represent it.
