New member and owner of the M&P Sport. Just a few additions so far but my wife fears that the sickness has taken hold.
Battle Arms Development - Ambidextrous Safety Selector (B.A.D-A.S.S)
Rainier Arms Raptor CH
MFT Battlelink Minimalist Stock (have since removed the paracord)
GunTec Quad Rail with Ergo Ladder Rail Covers (until free float upgrade)
KNS Precision Anti Rotational Pins
Magpul MOE-K2 Grip
The Sport ran like a champ for the first range trip. 400 rounds downrange with not one hiccup. Going to spend a lot more time with the iron sights before I go the optic route which is going to be a daunting task. I'm just glad there are so many before me to learn from.

Well here it is, just picked it up Monday after a long ten day wait. I like the stock look, apart from adding a Bushnell TRS-25. I'm also going to have to find a way to attach an eye so I can use my single point strap.

A lot of people like to keep it close to stock but I decently modified mine.
1. EOTech XPS2-0
2. Larue ECOS-C Quick Detach Mount for EOTech Sights, includes raised rail section for Magnifier
3. Daniel Defense Omega 7.0 Free Float Drop in rail
4. Magpul CTR Stock
5. BCM Gunfighter Mod 3 Grip
6. Magpul MOE RVG Foregrip
7. Geissele SSA-E Match Trigger (My favorite upgrade by far)
8. Some cheap but serviceable tac light bought from Amazon with a pressure switch secured with industrial grade velcro. We'll see how this holds up.
Yeah...I dropped a lot of money on my Sport, but hey that's what's fun for me, and I love my firearm like no other. Cheers.

Nice setup! Congrats and Welcome! Believe me, you're not the first to drop a few bucks on your Sport, nor will you be the last. You've got a lot of company.
Good Luck and good shooting.

Just added a Magpul handguard to my Sport - the grip & stock are very satisfactory for my needs, so they will stay on it:

Few adjustments, dumped the PA1-6x, just didn't care for the weight, or the reticle. Also back to the ACS-L, and added a 45* throw safety from Battle Arms.

M&P 15 Sport newest member to my "Smith" family
I picked up an M&P 15 Sport as my first AR-type rifle Saturday. I've been to the range twice and am really pleased with everything about it. This called for an updated "Smith" family photo - M&P 15 Sport, M&P 40 and Model 19-4.

My wife was working a rare Saturday, so while she left me alone, I stopped by Sportman's Warehouse and looked what followed me home. If she asked, Sportman's Warehouse really was giving away a Free M&P to the Millionth customer. Picked this up yesterday.

Few updates, as always lol. Posted in a separate thread about adding an Aero Precision Ambi lower with Teal Blue PDQ lever. Added Battle Arms 60* ambi safety and enhanced pin set, with Norgon Ambi Mag Release. Mostly the same otherwise, I moved the SSA Trigger, NB BCG and Rainier Arms CH over from the S&W lower, which is safely tucked away for now... Also added a POF Anti-Tilt Receiver Tube, as I had to buy one so figured I would give it a try. Easier to install, no twisting, etc when you are lining everything up. Ambi Bolt Catch/Bolt Release is pretty sweet, I have to say. Much cleaner and more solid than the various BAD lever's out there.
Oh also a BCM Gunfighter Mod2 Grip, which is a bit more upright than standard, which I like. And I added a IWC Swivel Stud to the Alpha Rail so the Harris attaches right up w/o having to add a rail section, which is very nice!

My Sport, finished (for now)
Well I've exhausted all of my upgrading budget for the moment, so here she is.
Mods:
Magpul STR Stock
Magpul AFG2 Foregrip
Vortex SPARC RDS
Leapers UTG 4/15 Drop In Quad Rail
Miculek style (Amazon) Muzzle Brake
PMAG 30/20/10
I have to say, I'm quite please with the results so far. Originally I had planned to mount a variable power optic on the sport for bench shooting, but the RDS setup is still quite accurate with a 50 yard zero and a lot more versatile in my opinion. Perhaps next on the list will be to build a 20" upper for long range fun.

Here's mine.
M&P Sport w/my additions. All personal preferences.
Aimpoint Pro Sight. I like the size, durability and battery life.
Magpul handguard w/pic rail.
MFT React folding horizontal front grip. Really like that fact that this folds. It allows me to fold it and use a rest for bench shooting.
Magpul MOE + pistol grip. Much better than the regular plastic stock grip
Lousy pics. Just using my Ipad.

I really like it and would suggest it to anyone. It's not the cheapest but is well made and works as advertised.

My very 1st AR15 will be a M&P15OR, I found it for 9 big bills, I cannot afford to pay for it all at one time so it's on layaway. Same gun dealer for 40 years and they guarantee what they sell along with S&W life.
My 1st addition will probably be the Troy folding battle sites and then the Magpul CTR stock. I am guessing it's probably best to change out the stock due to the way the locking device works on the one that comes with it. I did notice my AR has a S&W logo molded into the present stock.

Other than Troy
I have no experience with sights for the M&P15 OR and so I am only going by sight and past recommendation for the Troy product. I know their are some that would never buy another Troy product. If someone could actually recommend another manufacture that has same function and appearance, I would welcome your suggestion. I cannot afford to make a purchase and then change in 3 months.
Thank you, I am on this forum for shared experience from others.

I'll have to post pics as soon as my last parts come in. I have a sport, which I have added a Magpul hand guard, Ergo hand grip, J&P yellow trigger springs and a match grade front sight post. I also already have a TRS-25 and a O-light M-20 flash light. I'm just waiting for the riser and the flash light mount.

My Sport
Here is my M&P 15 Sport
All I want is a flashlight for it maybe.
Here is a list of what's installed
1: GMG extended carbine quad rail
2: Tapco rail covers
3: Acid Tactical ladder rail covers
4: MOE RVG
5: SunOptics USA Mil-spec Carry handle
6: Ultimate Arms Gear 4x20 carry handle scope
7: BCM charging Handle (Mod 4)
8: BCM extractor upgrade spring kit
9: BCM carbine spring and H1 buffer
10 Magpul MOE+ grip
11:Magpul B.A.D lever
12: DPMS extra large safety switch
13: DPMS Jerry Miculek muzzle brake
14: Magpul CTR butt stock
I got a lot of rounds through this rifle and love it. I went with the classic carry handle with the scout 4x20 scope and that scope is dead on at 75 yrds. Have not tried it at 100 yet.
With that muzzle brake and the H1 buffer the extended rail it had no recoil at all, like shooting a .22.
I will admit it does have some weight to it, but I am a larger guy so the weight with my single point sling is nothing, wanting to get a nicer 3 point sling system for it sometime.

M&P15 Mid MOE with Aimpoint PRO and Hogue Overmolded stock
Sorry, I guess these were too big. Or not...the passive aggressive nature of the complaint ("somebody above needs to reduce the size of their pictures") makes it hard to tell.

One of my grandsons shooting a centerfire rifle (my Sport with a Magpul handguard) for the first time - on a ranch near Lampasas, Texas (I admonished my son for not making him wear the eye protectors I sent with them):
BTW - somebody above needs to reduce the size of their pictures - the giant photos are rendering page 18 almost unreadable.
