I have been unable to locate any magazine extensions for my 3913 locally. I found some LC9 floorplates at a local shop for $5 each and figured I'd give one a try.
Surprisingly the worked perfectly. So, in that vein, I just wanted to post a picture in case anyone else was looking for an inexpensive magazine extension for their single stack 3913/3914/3953/3964/908/908s etc... It actually comes down a little further than the S&W extension and fits my hand much better. I prefer it to the S&W unit. The pattern on the front matches the S&W grip pattern as well.
Ruger LC9 Floorplate. Part number 90364. Price $5.00 (local)
*Minor fitting is required since the rear of the extension has a tab that angles up to match the LC9 grip. I cut the tab off with a razor then made a few passes across some 600grit sandpaper to clean it up a bit. The hole at the bottom is within 1 RCH of matching the spring tab. I actually trimmed about 0.5mm off the front of the plastic spring holder and it came forward enough to drop in and secure the bottom plate. It also still works fine with the stock plate. The mod took less than 5mins.
