I wanted one when they were first produced but never had the funds to pay the $650 retail price at the time. I drooled over them for years. In the early eighties I was an active shooter in a local bullseye league. We were talking about various guns and I remarked that the Model 52 was one that I regretted not buying. One of the guys said that the gun store down the street had a used 52 for sale. I packed up my gear and stopped on the way home. The gun was a 52-1 in pristine condition with the box and tools. I forget what was on the price tag but asked if they would take offers. I offered $400 and the gun was mine. One of the best purchases I've ever made and have been shooting it ever since.
