Went to a LGS yesterday, in the used gun case they had a 3914 Ladysmith marked $319.50. I did not ask to see it. It did not look abused but there was noticeable bluing worn off on the edges. It may have been carried a bit. It came with two magazines. In today's prices, this does not seem to have been unreasonable, in fact seems very decent. This gun shop does not normally have these deals. I'm thinking of going back, and if it's not gone already, and at least put it on layaway.

Update: I bought it today, actually put it on layaway. $338.67 including tax. It appears it was carried much more than it was shot. It will join my 20 other 3rd generation 9mm's.

Picked it up today, 04/02/22, see post #18

Unreasonable? No, it's a steal. Bluing wear on the the edges of 3rd Gen semi autos is normal.

I'd buy that gun without a second thought.

For comparison, I bought a 3914NL back about 10 years ago. Same condition, with two magazines. I paid about $325.00 plus tax.

Even if you decide in a few months that you don't like it, you can sell it without worrying about losing money.

Not unreasonable at all and in today's inflation driven market, I'd call it a good bargain. What's wrong with it? Does it come with a magazine? As for the worn blueing, sadly, the 3rd gen blued carbon steel featured no polishing and a very thin black oxide finish. It wears off quickly.

I bought one here years ago for my wife , nib .She's shot it twice , not quite her style . She graciously allowed me to shoot it , it's a great piece . Like others have said , RUN back and buy it . You can always find mags and have it refinished . I seriously doubt you , or any of us , will find a deal like that again .

I have big-time regrets not buying one at my local gun shop about 12 years ago.
All because at that time I was thinking "Why would I buy a gun with Lady Smith on it?"
Moron!
It was only $300!!!

Prefix TYT

Looking to sell a 3914 in good condition (some minor wear to bluing on edges on one side) with a S/N prefix of TYT. Have no idea what it's worth. Any help appreciated.
