4013 10mm conversion

I have a minty 1st iteration 4013 (.45 acp frame), can I convert a 410 top half and use it on my frame?
If the darn thing wasn't so nice I'd convert the 4013.

I do not believe that slide will mate to that frame. Even if it does, there is much less meat in the barrel of a 410 value series barrel and slide

Just convert the 4013 and keep your eyes open for a extra .40 caliber barrel to buy just in case you want to return it to a .40

I personally see no reason to ever go back to a .40 from a 10MM Auto

Hopefully you have the ambidextrous safety on your 4013, it makes racking the slide much easier once you change the springs out. This is also true of the CS10 conversions

You can always look for a slide . I found one for my CS40/10mm and sent it off to guzzitaco . He cleaned it up and put his PC style cuts on it . So now one of my CS40's has a spare slide with the 10mm barrel in it and I can swap between them if I want .

That's what I'm hoping to do, I've been looking at the parts kit websites.
So far the closest I've come was a 410 kit. Another quick question what other slides in .40 fit the 45 framed 4013's?

There are a couple of strings about the conversions by people who have done them. It is not real interest to me, but the workmanship was pretty cool to study. You might find the search worthwhile as it will give you some really useful information and of course the names of people who actually know what the project is like.

If I did find the parts guzzi and BMCM would be the only two people I would have do the work.

Contact BMCM here on the forum via PM . He did my conversion and others that I know of . He will be able to tell you what other slides would work . I found mine on fleabbay , plus the person was parting the other parts out . I didn't need them but if I had they were right there .

So I'll search as soon as I write this but I have a newly acquired 4046. Can that be converted to 10mm with just a barrel swap?

No, you also have to consider the magazines. Standard 40 magazines can't be converted to accept the longer 10mm. 4013, 4014, 4053, 4054 are the candidates.
