Apparently, it wasn't just shoes......

Came across this whilst searching for suppressed weapon info in the archives for someone ( you know who you are 😉 ).

You'd think there'd be a special serial number.

Stuff like this doesn't see the light of day if it weren't for the fine folks at Coca-Cola who fuel my engine and the REALLY fine folks at the Smith & Wesson Historical Foundation who make this sort of info available. Are you a member?

Taking a couple of clues from the invoice, my guess this was for Ferdinand, not Imelda.

Oh I know it was for him; says right there For President Marcos Of The Philippines.

I just thought it was amusing that the wife was big on shoes, so he he had to have the manly equivalent: a pimped M39!

Wonder where it is now...

I would think a Colt Government in .45 ACP would have been more appropriate. BTW the Colt was $87 in 1966.
