Every once and awhile I see someone in need of a diagram of S&W 3rd Generation Pistols. Back in the mid 1990s, S&W sent this diagram along with some parts I ordered for a 4516-1. I hope some of you guys find it useful.

Nice, but do you have one for the SW1911? Since S&W has "lawyered up" there's no diagram or part list in the manuals anymore.

The parts list for the 1911 is available for download in PDF format on the S&W website. As for diagram, any 1911 diagram will do, with the exception that S&W uses the Swartz safety of the pre-war Colt rather than the Series 80 safety Colt now uses. Kimber also uses the Swartz type safety on is "II" models.
