It's all John Culina's fault! Went to the Post Office this a.m. to send John payment for a set of grips and I had to pass the LGS on the way home: Had to stop! The owner handed me a real nice 1992 Model 10-10 with a 4" bull barrel, formerly owned by the CA Dept of Corrections with CDC stamped on the frame. A friend of mine was selling it so we were able to do a person to person sale. It has the usual holster wear at the muzzle and a few scratches here and there but tight with good timing and etc. Of course I'll post pictures when I bring it home on the 1st.

Promised photos so here are a couple I took with my phone while at the shop.

When I first saw this revolver I thought of changing the grips but then I checked the S&W Catalog section on specials and variations and found, "Model 10-10 laser marked "CDC" for California Dept of Corrections, 4" barrel, Uncle Mikes grips, Blue finish, serrated backstrap and forestrap, MIM thumbpiece, Smooth trigger, Product Code 100124." I do believe I'll keep it original.

The model 10/64 is the revolver that every person should own as a fundamental rule. For the price (typically) of used examples it is one of the biggest bangs for your buck hands down. Reliability. Accuracy. Quality. Something every home should have and every American grow up shooting. It is something someone can defend their family with but not something someone can go on a massacre with. Just a great tool.

Congratulations. That 10-10 is in nice shape for a Corrections gun. Last year I bought two NYDC M10s that had been knocked around more than the one you have but they shoot well and I thoroughly enjoy them.
