Just put $ down on a really clean and tight Model 10-5 4" with Pachmayr grips; gun only, no box, paperwork or tools. The blueing is very deep, it has a faint light cylinder turn line and no real blemishes. My guess is that this one probably sat in a safe or nightstand drawer and wasn't shot too often. The trigger is really smooth and the Pachmayr grips have a great 3-finger feel. OTD was $525. I know there are some less expensive ones in similar shape on GB, but I decided right then and there that this would be my first model 10. I doubt it would have been there if I left without putting it on layaway.

I've seen several over the years but not one this clean.

Can you give me an idea on when it might have been made? The S/N is C7572nn.

Thanks!

Congrats for the purchase of the quintessential revolver. Put some correct diamonds on it too. Pictures is always welcomed!

Thanks peterdeb for the serial-date range. I'll ask one of my S&W expert friends to see if he might have a set of diamond grips for it.
