Have a 10-8 2"
From the serial number dated mid 80's

What is a fair price or what would be the current range for something that I would describe as excellent condition
perhaps 95% - no finish wear at all, no box, no papers
non matching grips

How desirable is this model and configuration?

Thanks in advance

Greetings.

Smith and Wesson made millions of model 10s.
The 2'' model shown is a good one for carry or glove box because of its size.
In the condition you describe $300, would be a good price depending on
where you are. $400. tops.

That opinion, and a dollar, will get you a cup of coffee these days.

Are you buying or selling, and how much is the asking price??

Good luck
Allen Frame

I'd pay $300, no more. I'd need to pull from my stash of stocks or buy some new ones to replace the goodyears, at which point I'm $330 in to a $300 gun. The 2" barrel is desirable to many, but there are lots of pinned Model 10s out there in similar condition and price.

$300 FTF with no fees or taxes either way would be a good transaction IMO.

That's a later gun. Probably mid to late 90's or so (note the new style cylinder stop and cylinder release). Around here, it would sell to a buyer (not a dealer) in the $300 to $350 range.
