I just recieved my 10 round magazing from S & W, and it is the "shorty" magazing that is pictured on the website.

Some people on this forum were complaining that it was a restricted 25 round mag.

So, the 10 round shorty exists!

Here is the link that I used to order

Product: M&P15-.22 10 RD Magazine

I remember seeing some with blue followers, were those older or any different? I kind of like the blue better

hi, do you mind posting the dimensions of the magazine? (length of magazine, length of spring) thanks

It sucks that these 10 round mags are $2.00 LESS than a 25 round mag.( my local store) Check around your local gun stores, mine sells the 25 round mags every day for about 19 dollars and a few cents after taxes. And that way there is no shipping charges. Granted this is good for people that need it, or dont have a local chain of stores. But better deals can be found with enough looking. I say if if its limited in capacity, for those of us in states with 10 round limits, then limit the pricing of the product. But we ALL know thats not gonna happen.

i order 3 mags with 2 day shipping and tax for right under 60$
the 25 rnd mags are easyer to find at a cheap price, dunno why but the 10 rds were also out of stock for awhile everywhere

also california is not full of gun dealers everywhere, i drive a silverado 2500hd just to drive to a place that might have a deal on them id be spending 15$ in gas lol if its close

10 round magazine

Tried to go on the S&W site last night to order a couple of the 10 round magazines but the site was way too slow. Called them on the phone and a recording said to call at a later date.
Called first thing this morning from work, and at first the salesman said none were in stock, then when he looked, said they had a whole lot of em.
Wish they sold 15 round for NJ.

If you know someone outside of NJ you can have them buy 25 round mags and permanently install a 15-round kit. Unfortunately you could probably just buy 2 10-round mags for the price of shipping and the conversion.

I did find a place that would make them 15 rounds. They wanted $28 each including shipping but I didn't want to pay $56 dollars for 2 magazines. 2 10 round from S&W were $49 including shipping. I just felt like the other place was taking advantage.

The S&W site has always been slow to load, but on 11/14 I did successfully order (4) 10-rd mags. 11/15 got a confirmation email from S&W that it was shipped and a FEDEX tracking number.

You could buy the repair kit and add a limiter plug. Then you can have a magazine that will hold whatever quantity. The limiter can be trimmed down so the short 10 rounders can hold only 5 rounds. In Oregon you can only have 5 rounds in a semi auto for hunting. With very few exceptions.
