$1000!!!!!

To be honest there are three people in my house and none of us really need a 1000 each. We are not wealthy people but this just seems like a knee jerk reaction. If this really does come to pass I'll probably donate mine to someone much more needy then I.

A $grand to me, and a future generation gets to pay it back. Maybe I'm an oddball, but I'm not thrilled about it. I have no objection to those who've been hit by the virus hoopla getting a little help, but there are a lot of people whose paychecks have not been effected, and the notion of them getting borrowed money that someone else will have to pay back rubs me the wrong way.

We have to read any Bill so we know what's in it ;). Anything unrelated to this immediate crisis needs to be taken out, you know, like a new park dedicated to your local rep. Or studying why Eskimos need dog sleds.

One can dream can't they? :)

Somebody, I won't mention a name as I would have to ding myself, already put something else on the pile!

But people with common sense realize that that money is not free.

Stop it. They gave away the last of "our" money 40 years ago. Debtclock.org shows $671 TRILLION in money, credit and derivatives. So whatever "they" give us, it ain't real money. Waiting for the ink to dry might slow it down though. Joe

I agree with the sentiments above posted completely. IF THIS COMES TO PASS, may I suggest that whoever gets one of these checks to endorse it and send it to me. I will see to it that the money goes to a good cause.

I assume you are being facetious?

During the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina, folks were bused to Houston,Tx. and given $2000 vouchers no questions asked. Soon after, sure were a lot of new folks with brand new glocks at the local gun range. Seemed coincidental.
Well, If I get 1 large I'm gonna buy a P365, some extra mags, a case of ammo......and some Scotch

Correction: It is money that your grandchildren will be paying the interest on every day of their working lives.

My ex and I never had any kids while we were married.
But I do have a few nieces and nephews.

I put the blame on us baby boomers for this financial time bomb we are leaving behind.

House needs some repairs/updating. At $200 a pop, this will let me put new toilets in all 4 bathrooms, with enough let over for one roll of paper per.
