10mm in all its glory! Help with loads please

I use Longshot for full power loads, either 180s or 200s. I use Universal for mid-power loads. Colt Delta Elite and a S&W 1076 police trade-in. It's etched AHPD 40 in front of the trigger guard.

I have a Glock 20 10mm. Using a 200gr Cast TC with gas check, I tried loadings with HS6, Power Pistol, 2400 and Bluedot. I had my best results, accuracy wise, with the Bluedot. Many people suggest AA#9, Lil Gun and Longshot as the best powders. I would try AA9 if I didn't have the other powders on my shelf.

It's probably apples to oranges with my G20 and cast bullets to your S&W's and XTP's, so offered as a data point only.

Good luck.

Be careful and check your Glock barrel for leading. The polygonal rifleing will hold lead and can build quickly...causing lots of pressure. I bought an aftermarket barrel for my Model 40 and better results. Finally purchased a 1911 in 10mm. I use AA9 with 180 and 200gr Hornady XTP, but have some incredible results with 200gr Montana Bullet NOE WFN-GC (wide flat nose gas checked)

OK. Point taken per the O/P. Obviously I missed the "full blown" concept.

Now, how was the relative accuracy with those hotter loads of Longshot?

Jus' askin'...?

Cheers!

My P16-10 is surprisingly more accurate with the 200GR at 1225 out of it than any other round.

I have a 22 or 24 lb recoil spring (can't remember) and a shock buffer on the guide rod. The para barrels are fully supported and it is an aftermarket match barrel. The gun was a 40 from the factory. I converted it to 10mm before Para ever made their first in 10mm.

My go to has been 10gr of Blue Dot with a 180gr coated bulled. I don’t remember my chrony speed off hand, but it’s a good 10mm load, without being stupid. I’ve got a good supply of Blue Dot, and it performs well, I get good accuracy out of it.

I’ve also got a bunch of Long Shot, and need to figure out a load for that powder.
