An interesting read. From what I read, via the court document, Mr. Peterson, a resident of Washington state, filed for and was denied a concealed carry permit in a state(Colorado) where he did not reside. He sued stating that he had a right to obtain such permit(via 2A) and the courts upheld the sheriff's right to deny a CC(from Colorado)based on the fact he wasn't a legal resident of the state. Determination was based on LOCAL(meaning in state and not national since none exists) data bases commonly used in determining if there are any red flags(or not) to approve such a licence. Did I read that wrong? I don't know the conceal carry laws of Washington or Colorado and I don't remember seeing anything whether he had a CC in Washington or not. Not all states recognize other states CC licenses. While the 2A states your right to bear arms, it's the individual states right whether to allow (or not) a CC. Currently I think that there are only 33 states that do.
