15-22 Accuracy Comparison

Thanks.

Old style 22/45 polymer frame.

Volquartsen Scope Mount: Held in place by rear sight groove mount. No drilling required.

Volquartsen Comp: Held in place by orignal front sight screw and some type of seal inside the comp. It is a solid mod, not a set screw type wobbler.

Hogue slipover grip:

Old Tasco PPD2 with a silver sun shade and filter.

Awesome Phil, thanks

Just in case you might be wondering what a Volquartsen comp looks like after about 50k rounds..... I think I can go another 5-10k before the ports are 100% blocked.... and I think I'm getting a bit better accuracy with a growing barrel length. :o:o:o

What a mess.... anyone got a chisel?

:D:D

That mess took me a few years to build up. I'm contemplating taking the 22/45 apart for the first time in the near future.... maybe. I had an OOB at around 30k rounds that blew some chunks out and smoked for about 15 minutes. I figured that would do for a while.... and it has. So maybe I'll just leave well enough alone. :)

The 15-22 isn't quite as accommodating to abuse....:(.... though I have given it ample opportunity to prove itself under less that optimal conditions....:p:p:p:p
