I have never had any issues with my S&W guns. My first S&W purchase was 1981. It was a model 686, which was followed by a model 629. To this day, they have been trouble free.

Unfortunately, from some of the comments that I have read, S&W may now have some QC issues, which they may be either under staffed or overwhelmed to handle.

My 15-22 works great. Haven't had any problems yet with it and I'm not expecting to have any. The thing shoots clean and I absolutely love it. If I had some extra bills I would definately buy 1 or 2 more. Heck, maybe 3 :D

I came to this forum when i seen the 15-22 at a big-5 store, wanted to do the homework before i buy one, read the issues they were having (hit and miss) still me and a friend got one at the same time S# were 4000+ numbers off from each other still DTX, mine was the newer one. we went shooting mine worked 100% his would FTE every other round or so know matter what ammo you put in it.

Hey Phil,
You need to put a "D" Option in there for those of us that had not owned a MP 15-22 and were researching the pros & cons of a new prospective purchase.

But after I got bought the MP 15-22 I seemed to had gotten a bad egg
S&W Made it Right as Rain for me tho

Would buy it all over again.

A. 300+ rounds without a hiccup other than occasional feed problems. Then the dreaded out of battery firing sent the extractor somewhere. Two weeks later the rifle was back from S&W. Another 1500-ish rounds with only one or two failures to feed, no other problems.

Click "A" in the poll.

Have never had a problem with my 15-22 A1 from the day I brought it home and cleaned it and hit the local range. After 4000 rounds plus. Still eating any .22LR ammo I can feed it flawlessly! Even the Remington ones. Relax not what I normally shoot but just had to try them to see.

I joined before I bought mine to get answers and options to making it a great little plinker/squirrel rifle.

Mine is working great with a few fte issues, (1) in every 300 rds or so...I have even taken rounds other rifles didn't fire and shot them and every one fired cleanly...

My answer would be "C". Was having some FTE but that seems to be resolved with a few tweaks to the ejector. Other than that I have been using the forum to learn about trigger springs, forend removal, etc.

"C"

You guys saved my gun, my life, and my marriage. I'm here to stay!

Almost 40% of the voters are showing some sort of "problem". I'm curious how many of the A and C voters enjoy the rifle and feel satisfied with it and S&W.
I feel lucky to be a very satisfied B voter/customer. This little rifle's WAY too much fun when it's operating like a champ.
I wish the A and C folks the best of luck.

No problems, actually this forum convinced me to purchase the 15-22.

I just took her out today ran about 400 rounds of fed bulk pack through her and not one single issue (besides me learning to shoot, it's my first rifle). I also bought a S&W 22a with a bull barrel it had about a 100 rounds through it and not one issue.

Quick thanks to every one for the info. The 15-22 is very fun to shoot and it's going to get me to the rage a lot more often.

Only one problem, I go to a range with mostly older guys and they kinda chuckled at it , that is till my first ten rounds ever from a rifle hit the X at 25 yards. :D

great forum

I still have no problems with my 15-22 but come here to ask advise from members here like wanted a bipod but thought the Harris was a lil expensive so I was pointed out on the UTG bipods orders them thru dutch importer and the are swell so a big thank you for the forum here would be inplace.

THANK YOU :D

I came to this site because I was planning to purchase a 15-22. Almost scared me, but bought one and love it. No problems.
