I'm left handed, the safety lever really bugs my finger! My 15-22 has the same markings and lever stops on both sides, can the lever be moved to either side of the gun?
I did mine the other day. The only pain in the butt is what "Belt_Fed" said about the speings. There's a set for the take down pin and a set for the safety. I took my grip completely off so when re-assembling, I had to keep adjusting the take down pin spring to a vertical position. It kept curling under as I tightened the bolt. Not a big deal. A pic is at the bottom of the link. http://smith-wessonforum.com/smith-...ow-do-you-move-safety-selector-mp15-22-a.html
You can get the selector out with out loosening the grip just turn the selector between fire and safe and push out. Trying to get it back in is when you will want to loosen the grip.
Be careful if you don't loosen the grip a bunch, or remove it. The safety lever is plastic, and the spring detent could carve a bit of material out, or deform it.
