It is a k frame 22 and it is a model 18-3. I cant find any thing about a model 18. Any ideas?

It's the .22LR version of the M15, a Combat Masterpiece in .22. Another way of looking at it is that it is the 4" companion to the K22 target revolver.

What it is, is a gun that is about the most fun to have and shoot that you could own. They're going for a premium (like all the other older, non-lock/MIM revolvers), but I would strongly suggest putting some money down on it QUICKLY! It won't be around long, in my experience.

What do you mean you cannot find anything about the Model 18? Did you Google it or do a search on this Forum?

The Model 18 is the 22LR version of the Model 15 and was widely used by police and law enforcement agencies in training to have officers train on a 22 LR version of the duty weapon before going to the more powerful duty weapon and ammo.

The M 18 is not as barrel heavy as the 6" M 17 which makes it more handy in the field. Great .22 shooter!

No honestly I did not know. We inherited a collection and I am just learning as I go. Now should I really jack you up? Upon further examination its big brother is here to. I will post more pics in the morning. So What would a pair like this go for in basically nib condition?

I am not up to date on current prices but I can tell you that I have had my Mdl. 18 since 1967 and it would be one of the last guns I would ever get rid of. It has ridden many a trail with me and every scratch, nick and rub mark is a memory. Whatever you do, don't shoot it. If you do you will never want to put it down.

Here's an 18-3 with the rare painted sight option...

... used by old men who can't see the sights.

This example has older stocks than are period correct, but I like it like that.
