Hello,

I need advice about a load for 10mm (to be shot in a 610):

180 grain LFP, 6.2 gr. W231, COL 1.26". The Lyman Pistol and Revolver manual listed a 175 grain LFP with 6.5 gr. W231 as maximum with a COL of 1.253".
Is my load safe to shoot in a 610...or do I need to pull the bullets and start over?

Personally, I don't think you can concoct a load that could really harm a M610.

I know that I had some over pressure 40S&W loads with HP-38 and a 180gr LTC that I ran through mine.
The powder charge was about .4gr under what yours are and in the shorter cases to boot.

Now, good reloading practice dictates that you pull them apart. If all I had to run them in was a Glock or something with an unsupported chamber or any semi-automatic for that matter, I'd pull them. The only stronger N frame that there is is a 38spl one.

Just me, I'd shoot them and never look back. You essentially have the same bullet and the longer OAL is a help, even as slight as it is. What would concern me most is how deep the bullet sits in the case though. Measure the OAL of just the bullets. For every .030" reduce the charge by at least .2gr and you should be on the safe side.

10mm load

Pull them apart----? Why?
At 6.2 gr W231, they are well under max, which is listed as 6.5. The difference in OAL is insignificant. The 610 he plans to shoot them in is a .44 Mag with a smaller hole in the barrel and cylinder. No problem that I can see.
Incidentally, this (6.2 W231, 180 cast flat point) is the exact same load I use in my Glock 30 converted to 10mm with a KKM barrel. Shoots great.

Roger that!

I really didn't understand the reason for the question myself.
