1911 9mm sku 178017 barrel link problem

Hello...I've discovered a problem with my new 1911 9mm handgun. While cleaning it, the pin holding the barrel link to the barrel came loose. I put it back together, but it's still loose and I expect I'll have the same problem the next time I field strip the gun. My question..how difficult is it to permanently secure the pin? I imagine I'll need a punch, hammer and some type of hard surface to seat the pin on. Suggestions?

That is the standard proceedure.

A centerpunch and hammer will do the trick.
