I’ve found the 1911 to be one of the easiest pistol to detail strip
I’ve changed numerous triggers and parts (I dislike the plastic triggers and MSH found in some) and had to fit a trigger just once. It was too tall and I had to fit it with a stone, took me about 20 minutes. Thankfully to trigger was stainless so I did not have to refinish it
The blued trigger from the same maker was a perfect fit
